GOING TO BOB!!!!!

 

Hi all, a little update to let everyone know that we are going to BOB THE BUILDER tomorrow!! Ethan is oh so excited and I am too. He has been to a live show before, it was Max and Ruby; we went with Tate and their Auntie LeeAnn! It was a great time but he does not remember as they were pretty little. So really this will be to him his very first live show. It is quite a while away in Hamilton, Ontario, about 3.5 hours and I know that is a real long time there and back but the show is 2.5 hours and I know Ethan will think it’s worth it! So hopefully he sleeps the whole way and wakes just in time to go in. That would kill two birds with one stone so to speak in the way of getting in a nap and being in geat spirits for the show. So all in all I am extremely excited. It will be Ethan his daddy and me, hopefully I will be able to post some good pics of the show!

Spider Man

 

Ethan has a new infatuation with spiderman, he loves him! It is the newsest thing around our house. It is pretty funny, but at times can be quite frustrating! Ethan will not wearanything other than his spiderman suit and his spider man pyjamas that resemble a spider man suit.

In other news Ethan is getting baptised on tje 30th of this month which is quite exciting and long overdue.

The only other thing that is happenin around the fort is that next week on Tuesday we are off to Hamilton to see BOB THE BUILDER LIVE. Ethan is so excited it’s not even funny. I think that we are going to rent a car as well as a hotel room. Our friend LeeAnn can get us discount rates on the room, so we will stay in a jucuzzi suitereal cheap, yeah yeah!

My parents are taking Ethan for the whole week-end this week-end and I do not rememebr a time that we had a week end to ourselves since we moved into the pace we currently rent, which was August well over two years ago when Ethan was justa  babe and he went Grama Sandy’s for the week-end while we packed and unpacked. We are pretty stoked..not that we would want to rid ourselves of our bevoved boy, but we are long overdue.

More Bob

So I happened to be in the downtown Cobourg area and stopped into beyond the blue box, which is a depo that accepts then sells used goods. Everything ends up at this place, anything ranging from clothing to electronics, to cameras, to baby stuff.

I could not believe my eyes when I just about to exit the store, there were a pair of work boots sticking out from a very large pile of stuffed animals. I recognized these work boots. So I geta little closer so I could see even better and there he was a two and a half foot Bob the Builder, instantly I feel like a great mommy, and I just knew that very soon I’d be going home to greet my husband and the happiest kid in Canada, when he saw what mommy has come home with!

Sure enough I peek around the corner with Bob’s head and the greatest squeel in the whole world can be heard filling up the apartment. “BOB!!!!!!!!!!” He was oh so happy! He was jumping all around, screaming in delight, making me just feel the best mommy ever who has absolutely no problem at all conquering the world for my little guy! If only I could feel this way all the time, unfortunately it takes more than Bob the builder to make my boss as happy as that.

Ethan watched his movies with Bob, ate his supper, played…then eventually was off to bed with his new bestest friend ever!!!

Oh yeah…..and the price for making my sons day, week, no year a whopping ten cents, yep you heard that right ten cents! I love thrifting.

Ethan and Tatum

Ethan and Tatum really love each other, they are lucky enough to go to the same day care and get to see each other often. I hope they will always have a very special relationship. They are cousins you know.

Tatum’s Birthday

Ethan’s cousin and our niece turned two, her mommy and I were pregnant at th eexact same time, she was due March 7, and I was due March 10th, she ended up having her right on time and of course I was a month early. So Friday came and we all went to Port Hope in a crazy snow storm to celebrate. Steven (Tate’s dad) lives with his sister LeeAnn in Port Hope. These people are all from my hubby Sean’s side of the family. The night went pretty good, a few little break downs, nut for the most part it was good times. We brought her gifts, which included a Dora chair, and a Dora doll for playing in the bath tub. There were other kids there that live right next door, and we all had Tatume’s favoriate meal and cake. Her favoriate mean being chicken fingers and rice and shepherds pie…mmmm, LOl!

Play Date

Today I took Ethan over to his good friend Tanners for a playdate. We had a great time. Tanner’s mommy and I are friends so the date meant adult time as well as kid play time. The kids had so much fun, they played in Briar’s great big playroom with all sorts of great toys and the we headed outside for some fun in the snow. Ethan really enjoyed falling down in the snow and that meant mommy pick me up…over and over and over! LOL

Next we brought the kids inside and we though it would be a great idea to do crafts, the funny thing is, is that we ended up doing the crafts while the kids watched Sesame street tentatively. It was good though, Briar made a fun Easter craft that was bunny made very artistically out of pipe cleaners, and I made a fun sticker collage of all types of Dinosaurs.

Tanner was so sweet and we tried to leave he got very upset, we will miss him ’till next time.

After we left I took Ethan t his nana and papas and we continued the fun over there taking Ethan for a rip on the toboggan and then building a snowman, the snowman looked great, so great I gave him a kiss; which Ethan thought was a little wierd…maybe it was, but so be it.

I am now at home relaxing and Ethan is done and I mean done, k’od on the couch…good times….good times!

Ethan’s Birthday

FEBRUARY 15th 2008 

I thought this would be a great way to start my blog, as Ethan (my son) is definately the focus what better way to introduce him to the world but to show his pic’s from his recent second birthday! We had two little birthday celebrations. The first one took place at Ethan’s aunt Lee Ann’s house in Port Hope, Ontario. The second took place at my parents in cobourg. Ethan had a great time at both. For his birthday he got spoiled…… as usual. I was able to finall track down a bob the builder doll, which he is totally in love with. He also got books, Bob the builder clothes……cannot get them off once they are on and a great big truck from auntie Renee. Since he got two B-day celebrations that means two cakes, two happy birthday songs and two birthday dinners, yum yum!

The highlight of these two days was definately being able to give my little baby his Bob the Builder doll, we have looked and looked with no avail for one of these. Finally while on my break from work I stumble into a local and whammo right in front of me is the most perfect Bob the builder doll I haev ever seen, needless to say that doll goes everywhere with Ethan! He loves it!
