Spring?!

I walk out my front door this morning and what greets my on this so called third of spring…snow, that’s right more snow. Just when I think spring is here and the sun is shining, it gets freezing cold out and snows. I don’t know how much more of this I can take.

 I have been seeing the robins out frolicking in the; yep you guessed it, snow! They must be freezing!! I do know however it is coming and soon we will be blessed with long warm days, tons of sunshine, and fabulous moods.

 There really is nothing like the seasons changing. Everyone and everything starts to speed up. Hearts race, flowers bloom, birds sing. The sun shining outside gives ut that needed jolt of energy to partake in the day.

 Then spring slowly changes to summer, and it’s day trips to the beach, ice cream cones on the boarwalk and long walks with Ethan and Sean. I love the summer. Less clothes, more happiness.

 I am really looking forward to this summer. Last year Ethan was only one and I still had to really kinda just drag hime everwhere, but this year he is walking so great and he just wants to explore everything, he is going to just love the beach, building sand castles, chasing the little waves, finding cool rocks and shells. I cannot hardly wait. No more getting all bundled up to leave the house. I know that there is a rain dance, does anyone know about a spring/summer dance to ensue spring and summer? If so let me know! Till then I will be waiting like most of us in the north, waiting for the bliss that summer brings!

I found this absolutely beautiful little African American handmade doll in a second hand store called second helpings. I saw her on a little shelf above a bunch of clothes and she was asking me to take her home. So I paid for her and then left with the buzz of getting something new. I have a wooden handmade chair. It came with a little bear I once got as a gift and it fit the doll perfectly so that is what I put her in. Ethan likes to p>
take her and put her in and out, in and out of the chair and I think that it’s rather cute.</

Love this!

I got these gorgeous and very yummy panels, that I am tempted to cut and make pillows with, but I may just leave them as is and hang them in my bedroom, they are the exact size for all of the windows in my home. I also got this duvet cover that is definately vintage it is very heavy cotton, and I love it, I think that I may use it on my bed and get a duvet for inside, then it will really match the new panels, both of these items I got from a local thrift store called: “My Second Closet”. 

Color and Beauty

I wanted to show off these gorgeous plates with matching napkins (hand made) that come in the most cute little round boxes.  I got these this year for Christmas from my sister in law. Lee Ann gave them to me, I wish she had of been there so she could have seen my reaction and how much I absolutely fell in love with them. I really should tell her! Cannot believe I have not yet. I have included a few pics of them, I will find out where she got them at the same time I thank her for them!
